The lake next to the campsite offers wonderful refreshment during summer and also creates a favourable microclimate.
Swimming
Children can enjoy themselves at the small “beach” by the water and play freely. As a parent, you can keep an eye on them from this idyllic spot, either in the sun or in the shade.
The lake is not a recreational lake and is owned by another owner who uses it for agricultural purposes. It is a breeding pond for, among others, carp and catfish. The lake is also one of the cleanest in the area, partly thanks to excellent maintenance by the owner, who drains the lake every two years during the winter months to catch the fish. Around the end of January, the lake fills up again with rainwater from the many springs and small streams. This keeps the water very clean and clear. Air mattresses, inflatable boats and similar items are not allowed.
In the surrounding area there are many other swimming opportunities. There are several swimming pools nearby, and you can also swim in the Loire River or in other lakes in the area. At these locations, inflatable boats and air mattresses are allowed.
