Camping Vue du Lac is a small, quiet and rustic nature campsite in France Burgundy at a lake surrounded by woodlands and pastures. We are located 297 km south of Paris near the Morvan Nature Park, close to the Loire at the border of the Allier. The lake called L’Etang Donjon and the Loire provide a favorable microclimate
Spacious camping pitches
Here you camp in the heart of nature, in an oasis of peace, on open and very spacious pitches. With plenty of space around you, you breathe in fresh air and enjoy beautiful birdsong in the background. Experience what real silence truly feels like.
In high season, a family campsite full of fun for children
During high season, our beautiful campsite is a true family campsite where children can fully enjoy themselves. We have a wooden play castle, a trampoline, a large sandpit, a go-kart track, a football field, and plenty of space where they can burn off their energy. Children of all ages have a great time here.
Fresh bread, fries, ice cream and wine
During high season, we offer a bread service where you can order delicious fresh bread and croissants. In the evening we bake fries, and during reception opening hours ice cream and wine are available.
Beautiful starry sky
In the evening, you can often admire a beautiful starry sky, with the Milky Way clearly visible, for example while enjoying a fine glass of Burgundian wine, sitting by a crackling campfire at one of our campfire spots.
Pets
Dog, cat, rabbit or parrot. A pet is an important member of the family so you are welcome to bring yours along on holiday.
Pure relaxation
Whether you are enjoying a relaxing day at the campsite or returning from an active or cultural day out, camping here is always in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. A place to daydream and listen to the silence, shaped in part by fellow campers who happily enjoy what we and nature have to offer. At our campsite, you can truly unwind.
About us and the campsite
In 2000 we began our adventure: starting a campsite in France. Just six months earlier, we were still camping with our small tent in the Jura, daydreaming about building our own campsite. But actually going for it, well, that was a very big step indeed.
